Dougie Brimson

Dougie Brimson is an award-winning English author, screenwriter, and film producer, best known for co-writing the multi-award-winning feature Green Street. A former Royal Air Force sergeant with 18 years of service—including the Falklands and Gulf War—he began his writing career in 1996 with the seminal study of football hooliganism Everywhere We Go. Since then, he has written 17 books across fiction and non-fiction, including the bestselling football-gangland trilogy The Crew, Top Dog, and In The Know. Dougie's screen career has been equally prolific. His work includes the short film It's a Casual Life, the hit feature Green Street, and the award-winning adaptation of Top Dog, as well as We Still Kill the Old Way. In 2021 he founded Red Bus Movies, developing new film and TV projects while continuing to write, direct, and collaborate on features such as Jack & Jill, Battle Cry, and the forthcoming Green Street sequel. A rare talent who moves effortlessly between page and screen, Dougie Brimson remains one of Britain's most distinctive voices in contemporary crime, football culture, and hard-edged drama.
